The Material Application Engineer (MAE) Intern works closely with teams located in both the US and China throughout the design cycle. As a member of the MPE (Mechanical Process Engineering) team, you will assist the development of new material and material processing technology.

Key job responsibilities
• Assist Senior Material Application Engineer to provide technical support and contribute to the development of new materials for Amazon projects.
• Develop new applications and processing technology of materials, such as molding, extrusion, foaming, 3D printing, and more.
• Develop sustainable materials, advocating for environmentally friendly and sustainable choices in material selection.
• Establish and maintain material databases, ensuring effective management and utilization of material information.
• Conduct material failure analysis, troubleshoot material-related technical issues, ensuring the smooth progression of projects.
• Assist in driving and tracking the readiness of mechanical materials for projects
• Travel domestically and internationally, as required by project needs, to coordinate and collaborate with suppliers, maintaining project timelines.

• 协助高级材料应用工程师提供技术支持，参与Amazon项目的新材料开发。
• 开发材料的新应用和加工技术，如成型、挤出、发泡、3D打印等。
• 开发可持续材料，倡导在材料选择上的环保和可持续性。
• 建立和维护材料数据库。

• 根据项目需要，在国内外进行出差，与供应商协调合作，保持项目进度。

基本任职资格

• Master's degree or higher in Polymer chemistry and Physics, Material Science, Plastic Engineering or related field (including those about to graduate)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills (Chinese and English)
• Demonstrated critical thinking capability
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and proactive

• 硕士学位或以上，专业包括高分子化学与物理、材料科学、塑料工程或相关领域。
• 出色的中英文口头和书面沟通能力。
• 较强的问题解决能力。
• 自我激励和积极主动。

优先任职资格

• Relevant experience in material application engineering, particularly in new material development and sustainability
• Previous work or internship experience
