Welcome to the battery abuse world. This is the engineering to abuse battery and see what's the abusive hazards of all our Tesla battery products including HV modules/Packs, LV packs and energy modules/clusters. Abuse validations and analysis are the most charming and challenging parts of developing a new product since we are product guards and will never make a concession with safety performance of our products which may widely affect millions of people as well as our families and friends. At the same time we also enjoy the process of finding new truth. We're proud of our achievement so far but not satisfied with the current status and want to move forward faster with your participation.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Making testing samples and conducting abuse validations in external labs, vendors and in-house labs, you should learn fast and then lead abuse tests on-site independently.
• Using 3D software to make test jigs or fixtures, and work with technicians or suppliers to make the drawing to be manufactured. We also encourage you to make prototypes by yourself, we could offer you the machines and tools!
• Analyzing the test failures and use your mechanical, electrical, thermal and statical fundamentals to point out the root causes/significance between variables. You should be very smart to use analysis tools otherwise you may need over work to analysis batches of test data.
• Visualization the test data ( It can be curves, bars or any other types of tables & graphs) for better understanding, combined with test photos and failure photos, you could communicate with global team fluently to explain your thoughts and plans.
• We have plenty of workshops to improve the abilities of the team, you will be required to share your learnings and you will also be trained from team members' learnings. You should be always hungry for knowledge and logics, and eager/open to share with others.

REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on ability, you should like making/fixing things by yourself.
• Familiar with 3D drawing software.
• Sensitive with data and statistics.
• Familiar with Matlab, python and any other software for better analysis.
• English should be fluent.

EXPECTED PERSONALITIES

• Believe doing is always more important than saying, we need someone who can move fast with actual tests and results to prove his/her hypothesis rather than establishing plenty hypothesis theoretically.
• Believe thinking before doing. A good engineering thinking and logic is very important to prevent ignoring any factors thus could save plenty times for doing more efficiency.
• Curious about everything and keep asking why, a critical thought would lead you to understand the truth faster and deeper.
• Positive and motivated to do things.
